The exceptional performance is based on a unique chemical composition engineered to withstand significantly higher temperatures for extended periods compared to conventional PEX pipes on the market. The result is superior long-term durability, high operational reliability and an extended system service life.

MuoviXtreme for BTES (Borehole Thermal Energy Storage)


MuoviXtreme is supplied in dimension Ø32 mm with a wall thickness of 2.9 mm, developed for use in BTES systems and other high-temperature geothermal energy applications.

The product is available in two configurations:
Single U-pipe and Double U-pipe, providing high flexibility in the design of borehole thermal energy storage fields and collector systems.

The pipe is engineered for BTES-based seasonal thermal energy storage, where temperatures in the borehole storage field may reach up to 95°C during the charging phase, followed by an extraction phase with typical temperatures around 70°C.

Dimensioning and material selection are based on cyclic operating conditions, with a technical design life of 50 years.

Design pressure: 5.5 bar for 50 years of BTES operation (50% at 70°C / 50% at 95°C, safety factor 1.5)
